Canada – Seizure of contraband and unauthorized Items at Donnacona Institution
Donnacona, Québec – Correctional Service Canada On May 18, 2021, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, contraband and unauthorized items were seized at Donnacona Institution, a federal maximum-security institution. The contraband and unauthorized items seized included 26 grams of cannabis concentrate, 14.3 grams of hashish, three cellphones, three chargers and 150 grams of tobacco. The total estimated institutional value of this seizure is $26,652. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions.
