Sustaining Agricultural Production and Development of Alkaline and Arid Land
Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is implementing Reclamation of Problem Soils (RPS) as a sub-scheme of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) since 2016-17 for development of problem soils (Alkalinity, Salinity and Acidity) on pilot basis in 15 States to bring such land under cultivation. For various pilot project under RPS in last 3 years, an amount of Rs. 24.60 crore was released to the States.
