Sick person in custody dies in public hospital **********************************************      ​A 83-year-old male remand person in custody of Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre died in a public hospital today (May 8) morning.      On May 3, the person in custody was sent to a public hospital due to suspected delirium and physical discomfort. During hospitalisation, his condition deteriorated and he was certified dead at 5.24am today.      The case has been reported to the Police. Qualified person prohibited by disciplinary board from certifying prescribed inspection and repair of windows for nine months ******************************************************************************************      The Registered Contractors’ Disciplinary Board has completed a disciplinary inquiry under the Buildings Ordinance (BO) and decided that a registered minor works contractor (RMWC) appointed as a qualified person (QP) under the Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme (MWIS) should be disciplined for failing to discharge the duties or abide by the requirements imposed on a QP under the BO.      The Board’s written decision and order issued on October 29 was published in the Gazette today (November 12).      A sick 73-year-old male person in custody at Stanley Prison died in a public hospital yesterday (March 20).      The person in custody suffered from heart disease and hypertension. He required continuous medical care and follow-up at the institution hospital and a public hospital. On March 10, he was sent to a public hospital for further treatment due to physical discomfort. During hospitalisation, his condition deteriorated and he was certified dead at 10.33pm yesterday.      The case has been reported to the Police.
