Canada – Husky Oil Operations Limited fined $600,000 for Fisheries Act offence

On April 29, 2022, Husky Oil Operations Limited was fined $600,000 in the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan for contravening subsection 36(3) of the Fisheries Act. The company pleaded guilty to one count of depositing a deleterious substance into water frequented by fish. The fine will be directed to the Government of Canada’s Environmental Damages Fund. March 25, 2022 – St. Stephen, New Brunswick – Canada Border Services Agency The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is adjusting the hours of service at the Milltown, New Brunswick (N.B.) port of entry, to align service on both sides of the border. (MHI) concluded an agreement in March with Mitsui E&S Holdings Co., Ltd. under which MHI will take over the Naval and Governmental Ships business of Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
