Correctional officers stop remand person in custody committing self-harm ************************************************************************      ​Correctional officers stopped a remand person in custody committing self-harm in Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre today (August 24).      At 8.30am, a 66-year-old male remand person in custody was found emotionally unstable and banging his head against the wall inside a hospital ward. Officers at the scene immediately stopped him and called for reinforcement. The person in custody was found conscious. Correctional officers combat illicit activities of persons in custody (with photos) ***********************************************************************************      ​The Correctional Services Department (CSD) today (February 23) launched an operation at Stanley Prison to combat illicit activities of persons in custody.      The management of Stanley Prison recently stepped up measures to combat illicit gambling activities among persons in custody and took disciplinary actions against those suspected to have committed disciplinary offences. Correctional officers stop person in custody attacking staff ************************************************************      Correctional officers at Lo Wu Correctional Institution stopped a female person in custody attacking staff today (January 17).      At 3.18pm today, a 27-year-old female person in custody suddenly became emotional and attacked two correctional officers outside a cell. Officers at the scene immediately stopped the assailant and called for reinforcement.      During the incident, the officers sustained injury to their face and abdomen respectively. Correctional officers stop person in custody attacking staff ************************************************************      Correctional officers at Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre stopped a male person in custody attacking staff yesterday (August 12).      At 7.18pm yesterday, a 43-year-old male person in custody suddenly became emotional and attacked a correctional officer inside a cell.
