New District Officer for Kwun Tong assumes office (with photo) **************************************************************      ​Mr Denny Ho will assume the post of District Officer (Kwun Tong) tomorrow (October 3), succeeding Mr Andy Lam.      Mr Ho joined the Administrative Service in 2009 and has served in the Home Affairs Department and the then Transport and Housing Bureau.      Mr Ho was the Principal Assistant Secretary (Treasury) at the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau before taking up the post of District Officer (Kwun Tong).

Nam Cheong District Community Centre temporary shelter stood down *****************************************************************      In view of the fire incident at No 289, Yu Chau Street, Nam Cheong District Community Centre (1 Cheong San Lane, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon) was earlier opened by the Sham Shui Po District Office. The temporary shelter has now stood down.

New District Officer for North assumes office (with photo) **********************************************************      Mr Derek Lai will assume the post of District Officer (North) tomorrow (July 31), succeeding Mr Chong Wing-wun.      Mr Lai joined the Administrative Service in 2004. He has served in various bureaux, including the then Housing, Planning and Lands Bureau, the then Education and Manpower Bureau, the Labour and Welfare Bureau, the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the Development Bureau and the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau.       He was the Principal Assistant Secretary for Education (Higher Education) before taking up the new post.

New District Officer for Tuen Mun assumes office (with photo) *************************************************************      ​Mr Michael Kwan will assume the post of District Officer (Tuen Mun) tomorrow (June 26), succeeding Ms Aubrey Fung.        Mr Kwan joined the Administrative Service in 2007. He has served in various bureaux, including the Education Bureau, the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the then Home Affairs Bureau, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York, the Security Bureau and the then Food and Health Bureau.        He was the Principal Assistant Secretary for Health (Special Duties) before taking up the new post.
