DEFENCE INDUSTRIAL CORRIDORS

The Government has established two Defence Industrial Corridors (DICs) in the country, one in Uttar Pradesh namely Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) and other in Tamil Nadu namely Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC) with an aim to attract investment of about Rs 10,000 crore in each corridor. To address the needs of Indian exporters, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) besides conducting investigations against dumped and subsidised imports from other countries, also protects the interests of Indian exporters in investigations conducted by other countries against Indian exports through its Trade Defence Wing (TDW).
