More than 1.2 crore benefited under Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana

Government is implementing Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) since 2016 with the objective to incentivise employers for creation of new employment and also aimed to bring informal workers to the formal workforce. Under the scheme, Government of India is paying Employer’s contribution i.e. 12% for a period of three years to the new employees earning wages less than or equal to  Rs. 15,000/- through EPFO. 21.52 crore loans extended to women borrowers under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) since inception

As on 29.10.2021, 21.52 crore loans have been extended to women borrowers by Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) since inception of the Scheme. This was stated by Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Kisanrao Karad in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today. PMJDY accounts surge to 43.85 crore with deposit balance of Rs. 1,48,069 crore

As informed by banks, as on 25.03.2020 (pre-COVID-19 lockdown), the total number of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts were 38.33 crore with a deposit balance of Rs.1,18,434 crore, whereas as on 10.11.2021 (post-COVID-19 lockdown), the total number of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan accounts are 43.85 crore with a deposit balance of Rs. 1,48,069 crore. Grant of Rs. 2427 crore released to States for Urban Local Bodies

The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance today released an amount of Rs. 2427 crore to 11 States for the Urban Local Bodies.  The amount released is the 1st instalment of tied grants for the year 2021-22.  These grants have been provided for the Non-Million Plus cities (NMPCs) including Cantonment Boards.   The 15th Finance Commission in its report for the period from 2021-22 to 2025-26 has divided the Urban Local Bodies into two categories: (a) Million-Plus urban agglomerations/cities (excluding Delhi and Srinagar), and (b) all other cities and towns with less than one million population(Non-Million Plus cities) and has recommended separate grants for them. Centre enhances financial support to open Ayush colleges from Rs 9 crore to Rs 70 crore

The central government has increased the financial support from Rs nine crore to Rs 70 crore to ensure more Ayush colleges are opened across the country, Union Minister for Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, said on Saturday. The Minister was addressing a conference on ‘Diverse and Fulfilling Career Paths in Ayush Systems: Education, Entrepreneurship & Employment Focus on North eastern States’ in Guwahati.
