Authors Biography:

Patricia Lubeck grew up in a small, rural town in Southwestern Minnesota. After high school, she attended the University of Minnesota for a year and then trained to become an ophthalmic assistant, working with four prominent ophthalmologists in downtown Minneapolis. A few years later, she moved to California, where she received her associates degree from Ventura College. In 2005, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, majoring in anthropology, psychology, and sociology. She was employed as an administrator for a company that investigated workers compensation claims for fraud. In 2005, she returned to Minnesota to assist in the care of her elderly parents. In 2006, she accepted a position as director of the county museum in Granite Falls, and three years later, she became the director of the county museum in Redwood Falls until her retirement in 2018.

Patricia spends time traveling to national parks, museums, and historic sites. The majority of her time is spent researching and writing true crime, murder, and mystery stories from Minnesotas early history. She has been writing since 2009 and published her first book in 2012.
