Fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Cheung Sha Wan yesterday (March 6), in which a 56-year-old non-ethnic Chinese man died.

     At 10.05pm, a motorcycle driven by the 56-year-old man was travelling along Lin Cheung Road towards Kwai Chung direction. Upon approaching near Lai Po Road, it reportedly crossed the lane and rammed into a taxi. The motorcyclist was thrown out and was reportedly rolled over by a private car. The taxi and the private car failed to stop after the accident and left the scene.

     Sustaining serious multiple injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.38pm.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team 2 of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
