Concacaf announces host venues and match schedule for 2023 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

Concacaf has confirmed the match schedule and the host venues for the 2023 Concacaf Womens U-17 Qualifiers. The 2024 Womens U-17 Championship qualifying competition will be played between August 25 September 2, 2023, in Curacao, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Jamaica.

The tournaments official draw, which divided the 26 participants into six groups, occurred on July 6. The groups are as follows (host venue):

Group A (Rignaal Jean Francisca Stadium, Willemstad, Curaao): El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, Curacao, and Cayman Islands

Group B (Panamericano Stadium, San Cristobal, Dominican Republic): Haiti, Cuba, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Martin

Group C (FEDEFUTBOL Sports Complex, Alajuela, Costa Rica): Costa Rica, Guatemala, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Group D (Felix Sanchez Stadium, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic): Puerto Rico, Honduras, Nicaragua, and US Virgin Islands

Group E (Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica): Jamaica, Panama, Grenada, and Anguilla

Group F (Felix Sanchez Stadium, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic): Canada, Bermuda, Guyana, and Dominica

After round-robin group stage play, the six group winners will advance to the 2024 Concacaf Womens U-17 Championship, joining the top 2 ranked nations, Mexico and the United States, that have been seeded directly into the Championships group stage.

In the previous edition of the Concacaf Womens U-17 Championship, played in the Dominican Republic in 2022, the United States won its fifth title after defeating Mexico 2-1 in the final. In the third-place match, Canada topped Puerto Rico 3-0 to secure a berth in the 2022 FIFA Womens Under-17 World Cup in India.
