Curo Group Selects M-Files for Intelligent Information Management

READING (UK), July 21st, 2020 – M-Files Corporation, the intelligent information management company, today announced that Curo Group has selected M-Files as its core information management system. Curo will use M-Files to further improve processes and document management in Tenancy & Property Management, HR and Back Office.

Curo Group is a leading housing association and housebuilder based in Bath and one of the largest landlords in the South West. Curo Group provides great homes, high-quality care and support services for more than 25,000 customers, managing over 13,000 homes and building hundreds of new homes every year.

“Managing large amounts of documents under strict compliance with regulatory controls is core to our business. Our old document management solution could no longer keep pace with requirements. We were looking for a much more intelligent and flexible way to manage information. M-Files impressed us with its rich out of the box functions. Also, the ease of integration and flexibility to meet our specific needs were very much appealing. With M-Files, we will reach a new level of efficiency and user satisfaction that will meet our current and future information management needs,” said Tom Battersby, Director of ICT at Curo Group.

In a joint project, Curo and M-Files have designed a new, meta-data driven solution to manage documents, automate compliance and optimise business processes. About 20 document classes have been defined with automated meta-data and access controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This meta-data approach will also allow presenting content in context by relating documents to each other as well as to additional information such as tenants, properties or projects. The team will migrate data from their existing EMC solution, Documotive, which will be replaced.

About 600 users will benefit from this modern approach to information management, having fast and intuitive access to over 2 million documents. M-Files will integrate with files shares, Aaroen QL, Curo’s housing management solution, and the M-Files repository itself to create a unified user experience.

“We are delighted that Curo Group has selected M-Files for its future information management needs. We have many housing associations as customers throughout the UK. Heavily document-based businesses such as housing associations, real estate companies and others benefit from the 360-degree view on related information that M-Files can offer,” explained Simon Godfrey, Senior Account Executive at M-Files.
