Railways ‘RailWire’ Wi-Fi goes Live in 5500 Railway Stations

Railways has successfully completed the work of providing free public Wi-Fi at 5500 stations across the country. Mahua Milan Railway Station of East Central Railway zone, became the 5500th station in the country to have free public Wi-Fi. This is a unique initiative as this Wi-Fi network is one of the largest Wi-Fi networks of the world. To transform the Railway stations into the hub of Digital inclusion, Indian Railways mandated RailTel, a Miniratna PSU under Ministry of Railways, to provide free high-speed Wi-Fi at the Railway stations. Nationwide GST Stakeholder Feedback Diwasfor New GST Returns to be observed tomorrow

The Central GST and State GST authorities have organized a nationwide GST Stakeholder Feedback Diwas on New GST Returns on 7th December 2019 for getting an on-the-spot response to the new GST Returns to be introduced from 1st April 2020. The focus would be on assessing the ease of compliance and uploading of these new returns so that the trade does not face any difficulty when the returns are made legally mandatory. Use of Renewable Energy in Railways

Indian Railways has planned to source about 1000 Mega Watt (MW) Solar Power and about 200 MW of wind power progressively by 2021-22. 201 MW (98 MW solar and 103 MW wind power) has already been set up till 31.10.2019.
