Dr Zadbuke started by explaining…

What is Panchakarma in Ayurveda?
Panchakarma Treatment is a therapy for achieving balance in body, mind and consciousness.

Ayurveda is more than a system of healing – it is a science and art of living that helps us to achieve health and longevity. It emphasizes on preventative and healing therapies along with various methods of purification and rejuvenation. Panchakarma Treatment is an integral part of Ayurveda which helps achieve a balanced state of body, mind and consciousness through detoxification and rejuvenation.

Panchakarma can be divided into 3 stages

1) Poorva Karma

NIMCO
Poorva karma is done before main/pradhan Karma procedures. It is an important preoperatine procedure. It protects body tissues/Dhatus, organs. Poorva Karma includes snehan and swedan.

2) Pradhan Karma

After Poorva Karma comes Pradhan Karma. It includes all the Panchakarma procedures. It is most essential step in curing the patients from the disease & to remove the toxins, which are liquefied by the preparatory treatments.

3) Pashchat Karma

NIMCO
Paschat Karma means the rules to follow after main Panchakarma. These are dos and don’t’s for diet, daily routine activities. e.g. hot water should be used for drinking after vamana & virechana. Sansarjan Krama It is a diet plan followed after vaman and virechana therapy.

He later on moved on explaining how Ayurvedic medicine can cure patients with spine disorder and spine pain.

Spine Disorder cures with Ayurveda.
Our spine is divided into 3 parts, lets take a look at pain occurring in these three parts- cervical, thoracic and Lumbar.

1) Cervical Spine Pain
Any abnormalities, inflammation, or any cervical spine injury can cause neck pain or stiffness. A cervical disc problem can lead to pain in the other parts of body.

Many people experience neck pain or stiffness occasionally. In many cases, it’s due to poor posture or overuse of cervical disc. Sometimes, neck pain is caused by injury from a fall, contact sports, whiplash or even certain professions can cause cervical pain . Most of the time, neck pain isn’t a serious condition and can be relieved within a few days with some common cervical or neck exercises.

But if this pain continues it can be relieved completely with the help for Panchakarma and Ayurvedic Medications.

2) Thoracic Spine Pain
The thoracic spine also referred to as the upper back or middle back is designed for stability to anchor the rib cage and protect vital internal organs within the chest.

When Thoracic Disc Problem or Upper Back Pain does occur, it is typically due to long-term poor posture or an injury that overpowers the thoracic spine’s sturdiness.

Balancing vitiated Vata is the best way to treat chronic backache. One of the best Ayurvedic treatments for back pain is Kati Basti (Back oil dough therapy).

3) Lumbar Spine Disorder
When it comes to Spine Disc Problems the most common problem is Lumbar Spine Pain i.e Lower Back Pain.

The low back supports the weight of the upper body and provides mobility for everyday movements such as bending and twisting. Muscles in the low back are responsible for flexing and rotating the hips while walking, as well as supporting the spinal column. Nerves in the low back supply sensation and power the muscles in the pelvis, legs, and feet.

Dr Sachin Zadbuke considers a holistic approach when treating patients with Lumbar Spine Pain- Lower Back Pain. Detox therapies, Diet plan and removing Vata and Kapha with Ayurvedic medicines is done at Achintya Ayurved Clinic.
