    A fire broke out at a tin-sheeted structure at Ma Yau Tong Village in Tseung Kwan O at 8.37pm today (December 20) and was upgraded to No. 3 alarm at 8.56pm. The fire was surrounded at 9.15pm, put under control at 10.18pm and largely put out at 11.45pm.

 

     Firemen used two jets and mobilised four breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.

 

     One person was injured and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

     Here is an item of interest to swimmers.



     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (December 10) that Tseung Kwan O Swimming Pool in Sai Kung District has been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of vomit in the pool.



     It will be reopened at 6.30am tomorrow.



     The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep the swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
