Shri Nitin Gadkari emphasizes proven technology, economic viability, availability of raw material and effective marketing are necessary for successful completion of projects


Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari has emphasized that proven technology, economic viability, availability of raw material and effective marketing  all of these are necessary for successful completion of projects. Inaugurating Mobile Cold Mixer Cum Paver Machine & Patch Fill Machine for pothole repair by CSIR-CRRI  he said  most important thing in road sector is that cost of construction has to be reduced and quality of construction has to be improved. The minister said patent registration of any technology is not the end of the matter. He said till the patent is not commercialized and fully utilized it is the responsibility of the organization to do regular follow-ups and take it to final culmination .



Shri Gadkari said due to various reasons there is hesitancy in the system to adopt proven technology. He said total synchronization in communication, coordination and cooperation is required for implementing new systems and technologies. The Minister  complimented CSIR for their design in construction of cement -concrete road in Nagpur  in 1997 which has not seen any potholes till date. He said all efforts should be made to use alternatives to Steel and Cement in construction of roads.


Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said, increasing application of Science and Technology in the Road Transport and Highways sector is adding great value to India’s developmental journey. He said, the use of affordable, sustainable and recyclable technologies in the  sector is fast building the arterial network of India. He reiterated that India’s ascent in coming decades will be determined through Science, Technology and Innovation.


Referring to the dedication of two equipment of ‘Mobile Cold Mixer Cum Paver’ for constructing black top layer using bitumen emulsion and ‘Patch Fill Machine’ for Pothole repair to the nation, Dr  Singh said, these are the perfect examples of Atmanirbhar India as both the equipment are completely built indigenously. The Minister said, Cold Mixer and Patch Fill Machine will play a significant role in building roads and Highways in Hilly States of India, particularly in the North-Eastern Region.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways  Shri Nitin Gadkari chaired the meeting to review the proposal of NHLML (National Highways Logistics Management Limited)  to revamp logistics and allied activities in Delhi region along with Lt.Governor, Delhi Shri Anil Baijal , MoS Gen.V.K.Singh , Shri Gautam Gambhir , Shri Manoj Kumar Tiwari , Shri Ramesh Bidhuri , Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma  and Shri Hans Raj Hans .



NHLML, a SPV of NHAI, presented a plan to develop a future ready Delhi by building efficient logistics systems, creating integrated freight villages at strategic locations with hub and spoke model in & around Delhi and making the Capital greener. NHLML’s plan will not only decongest Delhi but also bring huge new investment in infrastructure sector. In the process it will create sustainable employment opportunities for the youth.

Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurates 19 National Highway projects worth Rs 1407 crore in Haryana and Rajasthan


Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari today inaugurated 19 National Highway projects worth Rs 1407 crore in Haryana and Rajasthan.  Haryana Chief Minister, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar , Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot, Union Minister of State, General V.K. Singh, Shri Rao Inderjit Singh, Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Dushyant Chautala , Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Rathor , Shri Ramcharan Bohra, State Ministers and all MPs-MLAs, officers and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.




                




            With the construction of these projects, tourism, agriculture, industry and trade will increase alongwith increase in employment in the states. Time and fuel will be saved and pollution will be reduced. The construction of a U-turn near Ambience Mall will relieve the congestion on the Delhi-Gurugram border. The construction of various fly-overs on the Delhi-Jaipur highway will relieve traffic jams on the highway. With the construction of various major and minor bridges on NH-48, the adjoining areas will get rid of water logging and the travel of the people will be smooth. Dharuhera city will get rid of jam due to the construction of Dharuhera-Bhiwadi link road. Also, with these projects, the travel between Delhi – Jaipur will reduce.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari today inaugurated and laid Foundation Stone of 51 National Highway Projects of total length 1380 Km with an investment of Rs. 21,559 Crore in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh.





 Speaking on the occasion Shri Gadkari said under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi we are committed to build world class infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. He said improved road connectivity in the coastal area will boost tourism, create employment opportunities for urban and rural youth and play a pivotal role in bringing prosperity to the people of Andhra Pradesh.



The Minister said the construction of ROBs under Setu Bharatam will facilitate hassle free movement of traffic, ensure the safety of commuters, save time & fuel and will also reduce pollution. He said the National Highways are the arteries of socio-economic development of the state.



Shri Gadkari said the 4-lane road to Visakhapatnam and Kakinada ports of Andhra Pradesh will play a crucial role in improving logistics. The construction of Benz Circle flyover will help decongest the city of Vijayawada, he added.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari hailed the Budget as historic giving new vision to new India. He said it is exactly the vision of 21st century and the economic vision and priority has already decided by this budget.  Shri Gadkari said the highest priority is for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Farmers, Rural India, Agricultural India Tribal India, Gaon, Garib Majdoor Insaan , welfare of all the sectors  is the highest priority in this budget.  The second highest priority is for infrastructure. The Minister said he was really happy because he got the opportunity to work with Bharat Mala and Sagar Mala and now Parvat Mala a new programme has been started .  Now it is rope way ,cable car  which are a great gift for the area particularly hilly area of the country. He said it  benefits North East, Uttarakhand, Himachal and Kashmir. Shri Gadkari said  It is very important for not only goods but tourism also as this can create more employment potential. He said the budget reflects the new vision of Prime Minister and he was thankful to Finance Minister for giving this excellent Budget for the country.
