On November 16, 2021, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband items was seized on the perimeter of Springhill Institution, a federal medium security institution.

On November 16, 2021, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband items was seized on the perimeter of Springhill Institution, a federal medium security institution.

The contraband items seized included 214.39 grams of THC/shatter, 73.39 grams of THC/hashish, 16.27 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 1.22 grams of cocaine. The total estimated institutional value of this seizure is $164,500.

The police have been notified and the institution is investigating.

On November 20, 2021, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband items was seized on the perimeter of Drummond Institution, a medium security federal institution.

The contraband seized included 533 grams of hashish. The total estimated institutional value of this seizure is $53,300.

The institution is currently investigating this seizure.

On November 22, 2021, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, two packages containing contraband and unauthorized items were seized at Beaver Creek Institution, a multi-security facility. As a result, the Ontario Provincial Police investigated and recovered several more packages near the institution.

The seized items included tobacco, drugs, cell phones, cell phone accessories, and cutting weapons. The total estimated institutional value of this seizure is $563,950.

Items seized included micro SD cards and SD card readers, cell phones, a cell phone charger, a cell phone charging cord, SIM cards, LSD, cannabis, THC concentrate, and nicotine patches.

The total estimated institutional value of these seizures is $65,100.

On October 25, 2021, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband and unauthorized items was seized on the perimeter of Drummond Institution, a federal medium security institution.

The contraband and unauthorized items seized included 140 grams of hashish, 17 grams of cannabis, 200 grams of tobacco and 2 cell phones. The total estimated institutional value of this seizure is $28,700.

The institution is currently investigating this seizure.
