     ​The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (August 21) that Tin Shui Wai Sports Centre will be temporarily closed for anti-epidemic purposes from tomorrow (August 22) until further notice.



     For refund arrangements in relation to venue closure, hirers may submit a completed refund application form together with the original booking permit to Yuen Long District Leisure Services Office of the LCSD in person or by post. The refund application form can be downloaded from www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/aboutlcsd/forms/refund.html.

     As Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is now in force, the Hong Kong Wetland Park is closed. The Park will re-open two hours after the signal is lowered. The Park will remain closed today if the signal No. 8 or above remains hoisted at 2pm. Any person or organisation who has paid a deposit for visiting today can contact the Park’s ticket office for refund arrangements or to change the visit date.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (October 14) that due to urgent clearance and maintenance work after the typhoon, Stanley Main Beach Water Sports Centre in Southern District has been temporarily closed until further notice.

Canada – Alternating lane closure on LaSalle Causeway

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of an alternating lane closure on the LaSalle Causeway for maintenance work.

For immediate release

Kingston, Ontario, September 27, 2021 — Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of an alternating lane closure on the LaSalle Causeway for maintenance work during the following periods:

from Tuesday, September 28, at 6 pm to Wednesday, September 29, at 6 am

During these periods, one lane will be closed and one lane will remain open for alternating traffic. Two flagpersons will be on site to direct traffic. Motorists should expect short delays.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians during these periods, and marine traffic will not be affected.

In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed to Wednesday, September 29, and Thursday, September 30.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.

Canada – Lane reduction and closure on J.C. Van Horne Bridge

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of a lane reduction and a full bridge closure on the J.C. Van Horne Bridge for repair work.

For immediate release

Campbellton, New Brunswick, October 8, 2021 — Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of a lane reduction and a full bridge closure on the J.C. Van Horne Bridge for repair work during the following periods:

Monday, October 18, at 12 am, to Friday, October 22, at 10 pm (lane reduction)
Friday, October 22, at 10 pm, to Monday, October 25, at 7 am (full closure)                                                             

From October 18 to 22, the J.C. Van Horne Bridge and Salmon Boulevard East under the bridge will be reduced to one lane. Traffic control persons or traffic lights will help guide vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. During this period, all trucking will be detoured to the Matapedia Bridge.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians during this period and marine traffic will not be affected. Motorists should expect short delays.

From October 22 to 25, the J.C. Van Horne Bridge will be fully closed. During this period, all traffic will be detoured to the Matapedia Bridge with the exception of emergency response vehicles.

In case of inclement weather, the closure for October 22 to 25 will be postponed to Friday, October 29 to Monday, November 1. This will include the lane reduction for Salmon Boulevard East.
