Fiona Dawson, currently serving as Global President of Mars Food, Multisales and Global Customers, will retire from Mars in July.

In her more than three decades at Mars, Dawson held a variety of roles across the business and, in each role, made an indelible impact on the business performance, the people she led and the community. She has continuously advocated for diversity and equality in the workplace, with her passion for women’s entrepreneurship and human rights. Dawson has been an active sponsor of the Mars Full Potential Program and currently serves as Chair of the Women’s Business Council in the UK. She also previously served on the Economic Development Advisory Group for the UK’s Department for Internal Development.

In recognition of these achievements and Dawson’s significant service to women and the UK economy, Dawson has been appointed as an honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE). This is an honor awarded by Her Majesty the Queen on the advice of the UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

Dawson will be succeeded by Shaid Shah, who most recently served as President of Mars Wrigley Europe, CIS and Turkey. Shah has held a variety of roles in Mars since he joined in 2007, after a successful career at AB InBev. Shah also represented Mars as an active Board Director for FoodDrinkEurope, focusing on key topics like sustainability, fair trade practices and Brexit. Shah’s track record of strong performance across a range of areas is backed by his leadership and focus on building diverse, high performing teams.
