Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi
In”Stormwatcher, “a heavy brand-new tune off Black Sabbath guitar player Tony Iommi’s approaching solo album, From the Darksinger Jørn Lande sings metaphors of storms pestering a rough life in the middle of Iommi’s own normally tempestuous metal riffage. “It channels something from within, something real,” Lande stated of his lyrics in the declaration. “We are the captain of our own vessel, a ship crashing through unidentified and in some cases tough waters, constantly browsing forward, guiding steady through every storm, driven by imagine brand-new horizons and yearning for something brand-new.” It’s one of the doomier tunes on the album, due out Oct. 23.
A brand-new video for the tune stimulates the lyrics. In the black and white clip, which appears like a woodcutting, a guy is stranded in a boat, a rat his only buddy at sea, as he reviews how he arrived. Of course where there’s one rat, there are generally more, and swarms of rats and a mad sea quickly end up being the male’s villains.

The tune follows the release of”World Alone,” From the Dark’s Single. In an interview with Wanderer around the time of that single’s release, Iommi stated he’s been delighting in making brand-new music as a solo artist now that he closed the door on Black Sabbath with the Back to the Beginning performance, Ozzy Osbourne’s last show.”I’m not into simply retiring and relaxing and not doing anything,” the guitar player stated. “I need to do something, and music is the only thing I understand what to do. I like producing it. I believe it’s great for your mind, too, to be able to make things up and develop concepts.”
