Federal government reveals visits to Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health

The Government revealed today (October 2) the reappointment of Mr Henry Tong Sau-chai as the Chairman and the consultation of Professor Vitus Leung Wing-hang as the Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH), along with the reappointment of 6 incumbent members and the visit of 7 brand-new members. All consultations work from October 1 this year for a regard to 2 years.
The 6 reappointed incumbent members are Dr Celine Ho Ming-wai, Mr Terence Lau Chun-kai, Ms Lee Yi-ying, Professor Or Ka-hang, Mr Tang Fei and Mr Simon Wong Hin-wing. The 7 recently selected members are Dr Amos Cheung Chuen-yih, Mr Ho Conrad Alwin, Ms Rebecca Lao Iok-teng, Ms Natalie Leung Hoi-ching, Dr Maria Leung Kwan-wa, Dr Sigmund Leung Sai-man and Dr Lobo Louie Hung-tak.
COSH is a statutory body developed in 1987 to recommend the Government on matters associated with smoking cigarettes and health. It is likewise charged to advance public education worrying the results of smoking cigarettes on the neighborhood and people along with to take part in smoking-related research study.
