The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, under the aegis of Centre for Research in Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CREED), housed at EDII to promote research-based initiatives, is organizing ‘2nd Case Connect on Entrepreneurship 2026’ from September 29 to October 1, 2026.
Before the Case Connect, a Case Writing Workshop was organized during, April 29 – May 1, 2026, to strengthen research capabilities of the scholars and researchers.
For this case connect 70 case leads were received, out of which 46 were shortlisted. In the first case connect 25 participants presented their cases. The 16 authors presenting their cases.
The Case Connect aims to provide high-quality case studies as essential tools in the teaching and learning of entrepreneurship and management. Through this initiative, EDII aspires to establish a Case Unit to curate and disseminate high-quality, India-centric case studies that enhance the pedagogical skills of faculty and enrich the learning experience of students.
Encouraging the participants and scholars, Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, said, “Entrepreneurship education needs to move beyond classroom teaching and counselling and be supported by research-driven case studies rooted in real-world experiences. Case Connect provides a platform to develop and share such cases and I encourage participants to take this practice forward in their respective institutions and regions to strengthen case-based entrepreneurship education.”
Dr. Satyajit Majumdar, Distinguished Adjunct Professor, EDII and Chair of the competition, said, “Case studies are not merely repositories of information; they enrich the classroom by bringing real-life experiences and practical challenges into the learning process. Case Connect is a step towards strengthening experiential learning and enriching entrepreneurship education through research-driven, real-world cases.”
The submitted cases are being reviewed by Dr. Satyajit Majumdar, Distinguished Adjunct Professor, EDII; Dr. Gordhan Kumar Saini, Professor, TISS Mumbai and Dr. Amitabh Deo Kodwani, IIM Indore . The event also features panel discussions and live session by Shri Ketan Parmar, entrepreneur, expert sessions, offering researchers valuable inputs into case writing and research. The special EDII Case Centre website was also launched during the event.
