Home Affairs Department to establish acknowledgement points for Mr Tung Chee Hwa

Mr Tung Chee Hwa, the previous Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the very first and second-term Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, died on September 8, 2026, aged 89.
The Home Affairs Department will establish acknowledgement points for the general public to sign acknowledgement books to grieve for Mr Tung in between September 18 and 20. The acknowledgement books will be offered for signing from 9am to 9pm on September 18 and 19, and from 9am to midday on September 20. The acknowledgement points are as follows:
