Grand lantern carnival to commemorate Mid-Autumn Festival (with pictures)

The Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival 2026, arranged by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), is ranging from today (September 17) till September 27 at Victoria Park, including numerous amazing lantern display screens, along with a wide variety of efficiencies and joyful activities, to commemorate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Themed “A Delightful Journey through the Lantern Garden”the carnival draws motivation from Hong Kong’s unique flavours, brought to life through glowing screens of light. For the emphasize lantern display screen, “A Feast of Light and Cherished Memories”spirited smiling faces are contributed to precious regional specials such as egg waffles, Hong Kong-style milk tea, curry fishballs and more, spreading out the joyful pleasure. “Love in Every Moment” is a lantern setup representing a blooming flower matched by heart-shaped light plaques and a passage of heart-shaped arches, including scenes of life in Hong Kong.
The standard lantern screen “Lantern-lit ICH: Shining with Craft Under Moonlight” is crafted by veteran paper-crafting master Hui Ka-hung. Including bunnies welcoming a huge moon, singing nanyin and waving a lion-head lantern, the display screen permits visitors to experience the heat of ICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage) handicrafts in the middle of the joyful environment.
