Archiving HK’s cinematic heritage

To mark the Hong Kong Film Archive’s 25th anniversary, an exhibit is being held at its Sai Wan Ho home, showcasing its work over the years to protect the history and culture of the city’s movie market. The exhibit includes screenings of traditional movie clips, display screens of devices utilized by expert conservators, and simulation video games that permit visitors to experience the remediation work.
News.gov.hk went to the exhibit and spoke with agents from the archive and the Conservation Office to get more information about movie repair and preservation.
