Public advised to not burn wax, fly sky lanterns or litter

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) advises members of the general public to keep public locations tidy, secure public home; not to burn wax or location lit candle lights on the ground, yard pitches or beaches; not to toss radiance sticks or other things onto trees; and not to fly sky lanterns, when commemorating the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Individuals cluttering at LCSD locations (consisting of parks, beaches and barbecue websites) are responsible to a fine of $3,000. The optimum charge for burning wax, tossing items onto trees or flying sky lanterns is a fine of $2,000 and 14 days’ jail time.
