International – (December 20, 2018): – The IOTI, the professional institute for online teachers, has formed a new Special Interest Group (SIG.TC). The new SIG has been formed with the approval of the Executive Committee to help online teachers integrate their skills and knowledge to assist one another and to increase awareness of the challenges that online teachers have.
Sometimes, being an online teacher can be lonely. Many are working from home and don’t have many contacts outside the classroom. The Teacher Community Special Interest Group (SIG.TC) helps connect teachers and aims to organize events around the world.
As part of a drive to help teachers, the IOTI is also opening the online TEFL Teachers Directory on their website early 2019. This will be a place for teachers to have their profile online and a central database for potential employers and international schools to find teachers.
The International Online Teachers Institute is committed to helping online teachers expand their options and support. It will continue to take on board the feedback from members and provide a professional online home for them.
The Executive Committee of the IOTI is pleased to announce that approval has also been given for new Certificate of Competency course for teachers through the institute. Look out for future press releases for this update!
