ONGC I League Live on Ten Sports

Salgaocar S.C coach Karim Bencherifa would like his team to carry on the winning performance from their round 16 match of the ONGC I-League, against Dempo SC, as they prepare to face Chirag United SC in round 17. All the action from this game can be seen live on Ten Sports. (please check schedule)

This was Salgaocar’s first league win ever since Karim had taken over as coach. A brilliant performance saw them go past second-placed Dempo 3-2 at the Fatorda. Ekene Ikenwa scored twice for Salgaocar, and was named man of the match.

In the next round they face the higher ranked team Chirag United SC. The team from Kolkata defeated Mumbai FC 2-0 in their round 16, away game at the Cooperage. Given that the team was without their two dependable Brazilian recruits Edmilson and Eduardo the other Brazilian in the team more than made up. The striker Josimar Martins, opened the scoring for his team by scoring the first goal and then he passed brilliantly to teammate Anil Biswas who netted in the second goal for the side, his first of the season. Currently in 4th position level on points with defending champions Churchill Brothers, Chirag United will look to overcome the Goan Opposition and earn the much needed points to their tally to move ahead in the table.
