Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to Barack Obama, the President of United States of America on the independence day his country on July 4. In his message, the Prime Minister expressed felicitations to the US President on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said the long-standing ties between Pakistan and the United States are based on shared values and common perceptions about peace, freedom and development around the world.
“We are committed to building a strong, multifaceted and enduring partnership with the United States, to the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples,” he said.
Gilani said, “I look forward to working with you to realize the vision of a closer Pakistan-U.S. relationship as well as to advance the shared goals of peace, stability and development in the region and on the international plane.”
