Pakistan's Admiral Edouard Guillaud calls on General Tariq Majeed

Military Joint Chief of Staff to President of French Republic, Admiral Edouard Guillaud called on General Tariq Majid, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) on Thursday at Joint Staff Headquarters Chaklala.Both the leaders exchanged views on regional situation and discussed possible areas for expansion of defence and security cooperation between the two countries.

Expressing solidarity and full support for Pakistan in dealing with its multiple challenges, especially the menace of terrorism and violent extremism, the visiting dignitary reiterated the French Government’s desire to reshape the bilateral relations into a comprehensive, enduring and mutually beneficial partnership.

The Chairman JCSC thanked the Government of France for its political support to Pakistan, approval of 12 million Euros initial humanitarian aid to displaced people of Swat and affirmation of assistance for capacity building of Pakistan forces.
