BJP, Congress focus on Cyber Space

BJP has been quite aggressive in its online campaign. Congress also recently has started advertising online. Both parties are using Google Adwords to serve their campaign. However, it has resulted in a unique unity.

On one single page, there are multiple ads where both BJP and Congress are vying from space from each other. Congress has preferred 720x80 positioning and text-ads compared to BJP, which has the whole range of ads.

The price of an Adsense campaign and priority is decided on the basis of bid price for the ad. Interestingly, most ads are now showing Congress in 720x80 positioning, meaning that Congress is offering a higher bid than BJP for the positioning.

It is quite interesting to see bitter allies promoting each other on one single page.

With the elections heating up, it will be quite interesting to see how to bidding war prevails between both rivals. They both will keep outbudding each other and help in Indian publishers to earn more revenue.

At least once in their lifetime, both parties are doing something for the much neglected internet sector in their regime.
