Delhi Police has received instructions after lockdown extension to strictly implement the lockdown rules. From now on the law will be strictly applied. The following are the instructions given to be followed:
- Everybody must stop going for walks. It is not permissible. Also anyone going outside for shopping etc must wear masks. Anyone found in violation will be charged under sections 188, 269, 271 and 336 of the Indian Penal Code. Section 336 is very dangerous, since it means that your actions are endangering someone else’s life. The punishment varies between 6 months to 2 years, with or without a fine.
- Everybody must stop using part time help. The only exception will be for senior citizens who need an attendant on medical grounds, and necessary medical documentation is required. If anyone is found in contravention, then the help and the residents can be sent to a quarantine facility for 14 days.
- Everyone should restrict their market visits. Also only one family member should go. It must not be a family visit. Masks are compulsory. Social distancing must be maintained. Any violation will be dealt with under the same sections given above in para1.
- The use of guards should be restricted to what is essential.
