Pay for your Idea connection without sharing the number

Karnataka, 21st February, 2017: With its focus on providing the mobile phone customers with unique and innovative service experience, Idea Cellular, one of India’s leading telecom operator has set another industry benchmark by introducing the new ‘Private Recharge’ feature in its V-Topup system of recharge. Aimed at letting customers maintain privacy by not having to give away their phone number, this unique method allows users to recharge their mobile phones by obtaining an OTP (One Time Password), in just one simple step.

Both prepaid and postpaid Idea customers can avail this facility to recharge their phones and pay mobile bills. Customers are simply required to SMS ‘Code’ to 55515 (toll free) and obtain an OTP. Instead of sharing the phone number, they can share this unique code with the retailer to avail the preferred recharge.
