Ozga Dental of Pompano Beach Florida is reminding patients to use their unused dental insurance benefits before the end of the year. As 2016 comes to an end, many benefits in coverage will expire, and if you are in need of anything from general procedures to dental implants, sleep apnea, or some form of cosmetic dentistry in Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, or other areas of South Florida, it is important that you get in to see your dentist before the end of the year. Insurances vary, but if you are receiving coverage that ends on December 31st you want to take advantage of it, even if it is just for a cleaning.

“The end of the year is hectic as things get so busy around the holidays. A lot of people forget that their unused dental benefits may expire. That’s money you are literally wasting if you do not take advantage of it. We are not saying you have to run to the dentist right now. However, if you need implants, treatment for sleep apnea, a cleaning or any form of cosmetic dentistry and you are going to lose those benefits at the end of the year why not get it taken care of now? That’s our recommendation, not just to our patients, but to anyone with insurance that may expire.” Ozga Dental Representative

Many employers and carriers will be changing their coverage or dropping it completely due to the expected changed in 2017 for insurance. Health insurance is not the only thing that will be impacted with the Presidential change, and major changes are expected in all areas of coverage. Employers may drop coverage all together or premiums may increase. Therefore, if you are paying for coverage and need work done like cosmetic dentistry, sleep apnea treatment or new implants then now is the time to get it taken care of.

“There is still plenty of time, so if you are not sure then you need call and ask your carrier, especially if you need to have some big work done. We have patients in Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, Light House Point, and other parts of South Florida who call us every December to schedule appointments because they forgot about the end of the year situation and need to use their benefits before they run out. It’s like paid vacation days at work, you do not want them to run out before you get a chance to use them. Even if it’s just for a cleaning, make sure you get in and get it done now because you never know how your coverage will change starting next year.”
