How you install or reinstall Office 365 or Office 2016 depends on whether your Office product is part of an Office for home or Office for business plan. If you’re not sure what you have, see what Office products are included in each plan and then follow the steps for your product. The steps below also apply if you’re installing a single, stand-alone Office application such as Access 2016 or Visio 2016.
Before you install, you must check to see that you have the correct hardware and software necessary for using Microsoft Office 365
Is this a new install that came with a product key? Go to office.com/setup and redeem your key.
Step 1. Go to www.office.com/setup
Sign in with your Microsoft Account. If you don’t have a Microsoft Account you will have the option to get a new one. Simply click on “Create a new account” You’ll use your Microsoft Account for everything you do with Office. If you use a Microsoft service like Outlook.com, OneDrive, Xbox Live, or Skype, you already have an account.
Step 2. Enter your 25 Alphanumeric Product Key.
The 25-character alpha-numeric code is printed on the back of the card. Here is a Sample Product Key to make you understand:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
Step 3. Choose your Language and Location, then select Install.
Once you have successfully created and logged in with your Microsoft account and have entered your product key, you will need choose your desired language and location (Country) and click on install.
Step 4. Download and Run Setup File.
Once will click on install on Internet Explorer & Edge Browser a popup with the option “Run” will show up while in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox you will get the option to save the file. As soon as the file is downloaded you will need to open it manually and run the installation. Also you will be informed when installation done like, “You’re all set! Office is installed now” and then the animated video will show you how to find office applications on your computer. Follow the instructions, for example Click Start > All Apps to see where your apps are, and select Close. You can also go to Microsoft Office destination folder and then place the short cuts on your desktop directly.
